Nadia Dahab Receives 2017 New Lawyer of the Year Award from Oregon Trial Lawyers Association

Stoll Berne attorney, Nadia Dahab, received the 2017 New Lawyer of the Year Award from the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (“OTLA”) at their annual convention in August. The award, which OTLA has awarded annually since 2013, recognizes her extensive contributions to OTLA and its membership.

Dahab focuses her practice on both trial and appellate advocacy and has experience in matters relating to complex business disputes, securities fraud, employment, property law, and the environment. She has a particular passion for appeals – having authored state and federal appellate briefs on a number of issues and having argued cases in the Oregon Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Before joining Stoll Berne, Dahab clerked for the Oregon Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She co-chairs OTLA’s amicus committee and participated in and completed the OTLA leadership academy. Dahab has authored and co-authored a number of pocket briefs for OTLA’s membership and presented at OTLA’s annual convention on a panel discussing appellate law developments over the past year.

Active in the profession, Dahab is also the current President of the Oregon Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a coach for Franklin High School’s “We the People” constitution team. Born and raised in Nebraska, she now considers Oregon her home and spends her time outside the office running in Forest Park, backpacking, practicing yoga, and training for Ironman Arizona.

“Stoll Berne is very pleased that OTLA has recognized Nadia’s hard work and contributions. All of us at the firm know Nadia as a smart, creative and effective advocate, and it is rewarding to see her efforts and skills being recognized by the larger legal community,” said Stoll Berne shareholder, Steve Berman.
